Photographs

It may seem strange to some that, as a visually impaired person, I love taking photographs. In the past this could be an expensive hobby restricted to a few films when going somewhere special. Now with the advent of digital photography I have a camera with me most places I go, and my computer hard drive is creeking with the weight of all those pictures with nowhere to go.

Part of the aim in producing Robert Johnson Onlie was to finally have somewhere to put some of my photographs. These pages show what I hope are some of my best - though I won't guaranttee it!

Germany 2009

In April 2009 the East Sussex village of Hurst Green reached an anniversary. For twenty-one years it had been tied, through a twinning agreement established in 1984, to the German village of Ellerhoop. I have been to Ellerhoop many times since my first visit at the age of seven. I'm sure I have taken hundreds of photographs of those trips, but this is the first time that I have put any of them on the internet. Please click on the title above to see my recollections of the 2009 trip to Ellerhoop. For more information on the Hurst Green Twinning Assocation please visit its website at twinning.rjnet.co.uk.

London

We are probably all guilty of focusing our cameras on places far and wide whilst ignoring equally impressive views closer to home. I am seeking to put this right with my images of London.
